John Nelson

Nelson was drafted 10th overall by FC Dallas in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft after a successful collegiate career at the University of North Carolina. In his first professional season, Nelson split time between FC Dallas and its affiliate team North Texas, registering one goal and one assist in 16 total games. The Medina, Ohio native played a pivotal role in North Texas’ 2021 USL League One Regular Season and Postseason titles. Nelson played two additional seasons with FC Dallas before joining FC Cincinnati in the offseason of 2021. In 2022, Nelson played 26 games across four competitions for FC Cincinnati registering one assist.
